Favorite thing about the Grand Valley

As a CMU alumnus, and a former Maverick baseball player and coach, I will always hold CMU as my favorite part of the Grand Valley. CMU offers high level education with a hometown feel for every student, no matter where you come from. The support from both the university staff, and the community is second to none. I also love the variety of activities, and the mild weather. It’s the only place I’ve been where you can access world class snowmobiling/skiing in the morning, and play a warm round of golf in the afternoon on the same day! Grand Junction is also easily the best “Baseball Town” in the region, with top notch college and professional baseball being played from February to October. A baseball lover’s dream!

Favorite thing about the Grand Valley: The amazing scenery. There is so much going on around the Grand Valley, and growing up here you take it for granted.
