Mesa Experience Visitation Program
The Mesa Experience Visitation Programs gives future students and their families the opportunity to experience firsthand the energy and excitement going on at Colorado Mesa University. These comprehensive, one-day visitation programs allow you to tour the campus, meet and talk with current students and professors, and enjoy lunch served by our dining service provider. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions addressing such topics as financial aid, housing, admissions, athletics and student life. It is free of charge for prospective students to attend. Each additional guest costs $15. This event is separate from New Student Orientation and class registration will not be available on Mesa Experience days.

Daily Campus Tours
If you can't attend one of the day-long Mesa Experience Visitation Program we invite you to tour our campus. Tours are offered year-round, with the exception of holidays and some blackout dates. During the academic year, tours are offered on Monday and Friday at 9am and 1pm, Tuesday through Thursday at 1pm, and Saturdays at 9am. Tour times may vary during the summer months (mid-May thru mid-August)
Led by knowledgeable Colorado Mesa University student ambassadors, tours allow you the opportunity to see campus and hear from current students about their experience at Colorado Mesa University. Plan on spending about two hours with us during a visit. Before the tour you’ll receive an information session from an admissions counselor where you can ask questions and get assistance with the admissions process. Tours begin at the Admissions Welcome Center.
We ask visitors to call or sign-up at least one week in advance of the visit date. To schedule a tour, call the Admissions Office at 800.982.6372 ext. 1875, or click the registration link below.
*If you are wanting to meet with faculty/coaches while visiting, we require a one week notice. Please note that we will do our best to accommodate such requests, however there is no guarantee.
Residence Hall Tours
Residence Hall tours are offered on the following dates.
- TBD for Fall 2016, there are no residence hall tours offered over the summer.
Led by knowledgeable Colorado Mesa University student ambassadors, residence hall tours allow you the opportunity to see inside three different styles of residence halls and hear from current students about their experiences at Colorado Mesa University. Plan on spending about an hour and a half with us during a visit. All tours begin at the Admissions Welcome Center.
We ask visitors to call or sign-up at least one week in advance of the visit date. To schedule a residence hall tour, call the Admissions Office at 800.982.6372 ext. 1875, or click the registration link below.
Register now for your residence halls tour. To find only the Residence Life tours, select "Housing Tours" under the Event Category.
Group Tours are designed for organizational groups, student groups and other groups larger than five people (generally school groups). Led by knowledgeable Colorado Mesa University student ambassadors, group tours can accommodate any group size. To ensure your group’s needs are met, please let us know if you have any special requests, like an admissions presentation, a tour of the Western Colorado Community College campus or a meal in the Colorado Mesa University dining hall. Note: Due to the volume of requests for group tours on April 11th, we will not be able to accommodate any more for that date.
When you arrive for your campus visit, please park in the Admissions Visitor Parking area located next to building 3 on the Campus Map. For Mesa Experience Visitation Programs, please refer to your confirmation letter for parking information.
While visiting, consider enjoying some of the popular area attractions. Popular visitor activities include:
- A drive over the Colorado National Monument,
- Visiting the various wineries and peach orchards located in nearby Palisade, CO
- A drive to the Grand Mesa to enjoy a day on the slopes at Powderhorn Ski Resort during the winter months, or an excellent hike or some fishing during the warmer months,
- A visit to the Dinosaur Journey Museum in nearby Fruita, CO,
- A stroll on the Colorado Riverfront Trail,
- Or simply enjoy the historic Grand Junction downtown.
