The transition from high school to college is a major step. We encourage you to get a jump-start on your college career and join other first-year students in the FYI Program. The program is designed specifically for students just graduating high school and entering college for the first time. Taught by Colorado Mesa University faculty, the FYI Program is designed to give students a better understanding of the skills needed to be successful in college including study skills, test-taking strategies, and time management techniques. In addition to expanding your knowledge, you will have the opportunity to become familiar with our campus and the many resources available to help you reach your academic and professional goals. Plus, you'll be able to participate in activities throughout the week and start building friendships that may last a lifetime.
Costs are billed directly to your Colorado Mesa University student account
Introduction to Higher Education (SUPP 101), the class taught during the FYI Program, will add two credits to your fall class schedule. Students will be charged for two credits of tuition in addition to the FYI Program charges. The Admissions Office will register you for your specific FYI class and tuition will be assessed on your total Fall 2013 credit hours. View complete tuition and student fees.
